Mentor, advise, judge: experts in our community play many roles to help us achieve our mission to prepare BUILD NYC students for entrepreneurial and career success.
BECOME A MENTOR
Using a structured group mentoring model, BUILD NYC matches each mentor with a business team of three to five teen entrepreneurs for one academic year (Oct – May). You’ll create strong relationships and help students develop critical 21st–Century job skills. To learn more, read our mentor one-pager and FAQ.
Do you have a skill you can share? BUILD is always looking for volunteer photographers, videographers, graphic designers and social media experts. Reach out to NYCVolunteers@BUILD.org to tell us about your skills and how you’re interested in working with the BUILD NYC team.
We are always seeking space to host trainings and our student pitch events that take place in January, February, March, April and May. We want our students to experience presenting in a professional or business environment.
We are always seeking paid summer internships for our juniors and seniors in industries that match their personal interest. Internships may vary in duration from two to eight weeks and may be part- or full-time. We want our students to gain valuable experiences in professional work environments that will strengthen their resumes, test out career options, and expand their network of professional contacts.
